BRYNN KAPLAN, LMT

Thorough Therapeutic Bodywork

Washington license #MA 60127466
Member, American Massage Therapy Association

I specialize in deep, specific massage, combining elements of structural integration and myofascial release with trigger point therapy and Swedish modalities.

Most of what we physically feel has an element of cause-and-effect; discomfort is how our bodies communicate with us. In that sense, I see massage as a mediator in the conversation, coalescing the din into something coherent and validating and even empowering.

I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2010. Before completing the 1000hr therapist program at Cortiva Institute School of Massage in Seattle WA, I spent many years as a licensed veterinary technician specializing in emergency and critical care medicine.
In 2006 I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. I initially felt alienated and betrayed by my own body, but in time it became one of the best things that could have happened to me as I was forced to continually reevaluate my awareness of (and appreciation for!) what I’m physically -and emotionally- feeling and capable of. Acknowledging the delicately elegant inter-connectivity of how we’re composed (and, at the same time, how much we are possibly oblivious to and take for granted) eventually led me to pursue massage as a career- despite having never received a professional massage until after I’d already enrolled in school!
I remain profoundly humbled and inspired by everything I’ve learned and will continue to learn as an LMT, and it’s an honor to be able to share this with others. Our bodies are instruments to carry us through our lives, and they deserve to do so as painlessly and easily as possible!

I hope to hear from you soon! Please call, email or text anytime.
